DULUTH, Minn. (May 1, 2024) – Lake Superior College will once again host its Robot Wars competition on Thursday, May 2. However, this year, the competition will take place on LSC’s main campus in the Commons from 10 a.m-2 p.m.

The event typically takes place at LSC’s downtown campus, but with the school’s transition out of the space, the event takes place on its Main Campus off of Trinity Road.

Robot Wars features student-built and engineered robots grappling in a one-on-one tournament-style format. Some robots will use moving blades. Some will use heavy drop-down hammers. Some will rely on speed.

All of them will be fighting to be the last robot standing. Robots designed and manufactured by LSC Integrated Manufacturing students will battle to the end in a double elimination tournament. Regional high schools will also take part.
