Presidential Search
Lake Superior College will welcome a new president on July 1, 2025. Current president, Dr. Patricia Rogers announced her retirement on August 22, 2024. On this page, we will post important information about the search process.
Search Committee
The search committee chair is Dr. Sharon Pierce, president of Minneapolis College. The Minnesota State chancelor, Dr. Scott Olson will appoint members of the committee before it holds its first meeting. The Association of Community College Trustees has been hired as the search firm led by consultant Cindy Lopez. Jestina Vichorek, associate vice president of Human Resources, is the campus liaison.

Listening Session Schedule
Watch for the schedule in the Newsplash employee newsletter on October 17, 31, and November 7. Different in-person sessions for different groups will be held from 10 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. on the main campus. The last session will be for members of the community.
