Procedure 2.9.2 - Course Repeat
Part A: General Information/Policy
Students are allowed to repeat a course in an effort to earn a higher grade. For this purpose, students may repeat courses two additional times after the first attempt. The original grade will reflect on the transcript but only the highest grade will be used to calculate the cumulative GPA. Repeated credits will be reflected in the completion percentage for Satisfactory Academic Progress and maximum timeframe calculations. Repeated credits described in this procedure, with the exception of W’s, are generally eligible for financial aid only once. Students are encouraged to speak with a member of Financial Aid for more information on how it will impact their financial aid award.
Credit is granted only once for repeated courses unless otherwise indicated. Limits for the number of credits granted in these cases will be defined in the course description.
A petition must be submitted for any student who wishes to attempt a course more than three times or for any courses in which the student received an “A” grade.
