Lake Superior College has hired Tracy Sonterre-Rieger as a full time unlimited (FTU) nursing instructor. She will teach in both the AS Nursing Program and the Practical Nursing Program.
LSC’s nationally accredited nursing programs include career tracks in practical nursing; practical nursing/military medic; professional nursing A.S. and nursing advanced standing LPN track.
The nursing programs graduate approximately 200 nursing students annually with a 2016 NCLEX pass rate of RN-93% and PN-100% on state licensure nursing exams. The majority of LSC graduates stay and work in the healthcare field in the Arrowhead region.
Sonterre-Rieger worked as a Registered Nurse for Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center in Anoka, MN; Colon Rectal Surgery Associates and Regions Hospital in St. Paul; and Shriners Hospitals for Children in Minneapolis. She holds a M.S. in nursing with a nurse educator specialization from Capella University, a B.S. in art education from the University of Minnesota, and an A.S. in nursing from Anoka Ramsey Community College.
