Lake Superior College and Yellow Bike Coffee Café have announced a new partnership which will result in the Yellow Bike Coffee Café opening on the main campus of LSC this fall.
Starting Monday, August 24, which is the start of Fall Semester at Lake Superior College, Yellow Bike Coffee Café will sell coffee and light snacks from a temporary location on campus while their new space is being built right inside the main entrance of main campus. Once the permanent location opens later this fall, a full food and beverage service will be available, along with catering options. LSC and Yellow Bike Coffee Café plan to host an official grand opening once the location is complete and open to the public this fall.
“We are so excited to welcome Yellow Bike Café to our campus,” said Dr. Patricia Rogers, President of Lake Superior College. “We were looking for a local food and beverage vendor who was invested in our campus and community, and we have found the perfect partner in Yellow Bike Coffee Café. Our students, employees and the surrounding community will benefit from having access to Yellow Bike’s homemade food and hand crafted tea and coffee drinks right here on the LSC campus. This new addition will fit in perfectly in our main corridor, right next to other valued community partners like the St. Luke’s Q Clinic and a couple of other partners we plan to bring to campus in the near future.”
Yellow Bike has three other locations: the original Yellow Bike Coffee at 5094 Miller Trunk Highway in Hermantown, Yellow Bike Coffee in the Fitger’s Complex in Duluth and Yellow Bike Coffee Café at the Essentia Wellness Center in Hermantown.
“We’ve been very impressed with the enthusiastic staff and heartfelt welcome that we’ve received at Lake Superior College,” said Doug Olsen, co-owner of Yellow Bike Coffee Café. “We’re honored and excited to be opening this new café location as part of the campus community and we look forward to years of a great partnership with Lake Superior College.”
More details on location hours and menu items will be released once the space opens this fall.
