Healthcare is one of the largest employers in the region, with many jobs currently available and most only requiring a two-year degree.
Lake Superior College offers more than fifteen career paths in allied health and nursing. Its nationally-accredited programs include surgical technology, practical nursing, professional nursing A.S., Advanced Standing LPN track, medical laboratory technician, dental hygiene, respiratory therapy, physical therapist assistant, medical assistant and radiologic technology. Additional healthcare programs also include phlebotomy and massage therapy. In addition, LSC collaborates with Hibbing Community College to offer a dental assistant program.
All are welcome to learn more about these programs at Lake Superior College’s Healthcare Open House on Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 2:00 to 6 p.m. on LSC’s main campus. The Open House is free and open to the public; however, due to COVID-19 related restrictions, registration is required in advance and the event has been modified to ensure the safety of all guests.
Guests will have the opportunity to:

- Tour LSC’s beautiful main campus
- Visit healthcare classrooms and labs, and check out the state-of-the-art equipment
- Receive a customized packet with information about programs, the admission prosses, financial aid, scholarships, academic support and much more
In accordance with LSC’s COVID-19 Back-To-Campus Preparedness Plan and with guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health, masks and social distancing are required at all times on any LSC campus and all guests will be asked to complete an online COVID-19 screening survey. RSVPs are required, space is limited, and all tours will be scheduled in advance to ensure required physical distancing. Those interested also have the opportunity to schedule a tour on a different date and time. An admissions representative will follow up with registered guests to provide additional details.
