Duluth, Minn. – Lake Superior College will hold its annual Career and Transfer Fair for students on Wednesday, March 20 on its main campus.
Over 50 employers offering full and part-time work, as well as nearly 20 universities highlighting transfer options will be on campus ready to engage with students.
“The career and transfer fair showcases an array of pathways available to students, whether they choose to further their education or embark on their professional journey,” said Associate Vice President of Student Affairs Kenneth A. Reid. “The fair also provides our industry and postsecondary education partners an opportunity to meet with our students and see that they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to seamlessly transition into the workforce or excel in advanced academic programs.”
Students will have the chance to network, learn about companies, and market themselves during this fair. There will also be opportunities for students to take professional headshots free of charge to utilize for online profiles. Resources to help students prepare for the fair have been promoted campus wide.
Employers with fair tables represent Duluth area pillars in the business community and the region. Governmental agencies and military branches will also be available for students. Newer Lake Superior College students not as close to graduation will also find the fair beneficial for volunteer options and internship opportunities.
"This fair not only highlights the myriad of opportunities available to our students, but it also serves as a testament to the exceptional preparation they receive here at LSC," said Lake Superior College President Dr. Patricia Rogers.
The fair runs from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Wednesday in the Main Concourse area of Lake Superior College’s Main Campus.
