Lake Superior College’s Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs Dr. Linda Kingston recently received the Outstanding Academic and Student Affairs Administrator Award at the Minnesota State Academic and Student Affairs (ASA) Conference last week.

The Minnesota State ASA Leadership Awards recognize faculty, staff, and administrators from around the state for their exemplary achievements in equity, innovation, and collaborative practices that promote student success.

“Linda demonstrates a meticulous attention to detail, often unnoticed by others, yet significantly impactful at Lake Superior College,” stated Dr. Patricia Rogers, president of Lake Superior College. “Her primary motivation lies in witnessing the academic and personal growth of our students during their tenure with us.”

Kingston arrived at LSC in July of 2020. Her role provides the overall guidance for policy formulation, educational planning, the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and programmatic accreditation processes, budgeting and new program development in the integrated academic and student services/student success setting. She guided Lake Superior College through a successful HLC accreditation this past spring.

The Outstanding Academic and Student Affairs Administrators Award recognizes administrators at the director, dean, or vice-president levels who have made significant contributions to the development of academic or student affairs programming at their institutions.
