Catherine Lassila has been hired as a Nursing Assistant instructor at Lake Superior College. LSC offers a nursing assistant certificate to prepare students for entry into the field of nursing assistants/home health aides (NA /HHA). Approximately 300 students graduated from LSC nursing assistant training in last year. Many of those students continued on to study advanced nursing and other medical career training at Lake Superior College.

Lassila has more than ten years of experience as a registered nurse in both acute and long-term care settings. She earned a B.S. in nursing from the University of Illinois and an associate degree in nursing from the College of DuPage in Illinois. She is currently enrolled in the M.S. in nurse education program through the University of North Dakota.
