DULUTH, Minn. – The Lake Superior College men’s and women’s soccer programs had five players recognized as all-conference performers, while sophomore midfielder Cathrine Bastin was named the Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) Women’s Soccer Player of the Year.
Joining Bastin on the All-MCAC Women’s Soccer team were first-year forward Julia Lewis and sophomore defender Ana Hamann. Lewis was also named to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III All-Region 13 team.
Sophomore midfielders Joe Eklund and Henrico Sanchez Zena were named to the All-MCAC Men’s Soccer Team. Eklund was also named to the NJCAA Division III All-Region 13 team.
The IceHawks men’s team finished 3-11 this season overall and 2-6 in MCAC action, while the women’s program wrapped up with a 1-5-2 record overall and 1-3-2 in league play.
