LSC Soccer at Midway Point
The Lake Superior College Men’s Soccer team is at the midway point of their season with a current overall record of 1-6 and are still in search of their first Minnesota College Athletic Conference (MCAC) victory.
The IceHawks won their season opener over Northwest Iowa Community College with Kye Marsden netting the game-winner. Marsden leads the team with three goals this season. Drew Forer and Braden Fulda have split time as goalkeepers with Forer recording 26 saves and Fulda 20 saves.
Half of LSC’s losses have been by just one-goal margins.
LSC Clay Target Puts Up Monster Score in Week 2 of MCAC Competition
The Lake Superior College Co-Ed Clay Target team recorded a team score of 594 in the second week of action in the Minnesota Collegiate Athletic Conference (MCAC) and now has accumulated the most points out of any of the MCAC schools, regardless of division.
The IceHawks, who recorded the second-most points in the Red Division after week 1, was the only program in the division to score over 500 points in week 2 and now is atop the division with 1,127 points through two weeks. In fact, that season point total ranks best out of all the MCAC programs by 69 points.
Tanner Helin and Nick Boucher recorded 50 straights in week 2 for LSC. Nicholas Pearson and Caden Peterson also had 25 straights on the week. Isabelle Schlander led the female competitors with a 47 out of 50 on the week.
