English Language Learners (ELL) Support Services are available through the Tutoring and Learning Center Writing Lab.
- Foundational Life Skills: Basic skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening and communication skills that can be applied in life settings.
- Academic Skills: Support in writing, reading, speaking and listening that will assist students in their specific academic programs.
- College Skills: Reading, writing, speaking and listening skills that will support and prepare students for the high communication demands found in college-level courses.
An English as a second language (ESL) specialist is available for individual or small group English language skill improvement, practice, and/or homework assistance.
Academic tutors are available in the Tutoring and Learning Center (TLC) at Lake Superior College during a variety of drop-in hours to assist students with language barriers.
