The LSC Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program admissions process is competitive. It’s a separate process from becoming an LSC student. All Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program applicants who complete the application will be considered for admission to the program. Background check
If you have been arrested, charged, or convicted of any criminal offense, you should investigate the impact that the arrest, charge, or conviction may have on your chances of employment in the field you intend to study. All students undergo a background check.
The class is facilitated by a Lake Superior College instructor who has been trained and certified by the national Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program.

Student selection
You must be an LSC student age 17 or older to apply. Program size is limited to 15 students. All applicants are required to fill out an application and will be contacted for an interview upon receipt of application. Students who have completed credits in Sociology will be given priority.
